Da Nang Party Chief pays pre-Tet visits to military units, retired public employees and war invalids

Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang visited military units, the Thai Phien Club for retired public employees, war invalids to wish them a joyful Lunar New Year (Tet) ahead.

During his visit to the Brigade 161 under the Naval Region 3, Secretary Quang praised the Brigade's officers and men for their great efforts in maintaining combat readiness and strengthen capacity in order to safeguard the country’s sovereignty over its sea and islands.

Colonel Ngo Van Quyen, the Head of the 161 Brigade remarked that the Brigade's officers and men are focussing on enhancing combat readiness to fulfill their assigned political tasks to protect the coastal borders of the country, implement search and rescue and other tasks at sea, especially during Tet Festival.

Mr Quang took the opportunity to urge officers and men of the 161 Brigade to continue their efforts to perform well their assigned tasks, uphold their responsibilities to handle the situation promptly and efficiently. Special attention must be given to providing good material and spiritual care for the Brigade's officers and men to help them have a warm and happy Tet, especially in the context of being ready to perform their assigned political tasks.

While visiting the standing maritime squadron, the Da Nang top leader asked the officers and men of the squadron to continue to uphold their responsibilities and uphold solidarity to fulfill their assigned tasks. He also highlighted the squadron’s important role in raising public awareness about national government’s guidelines and policies, and laws on national defence and security, exploitation and utilization of marine resources. He stressed the need for them to ensure social order and safety, tackle marine crime, as well as participate in rescue, transport and supply activities at sea.

During his meeting with members of the Thai Phien Club for retired public employees, Mr Quang highlighted important role of the club’s members in contributing ideas to the city’s leaders in Party building work, contributing to promoting the city’s development.

He extended Tet greetings to members of the Thai Phien Club and wished them good health and happiness. Secretary Quang also asked them to continue to contribute more ideas to the city’s leaders and join hands with the government and people of Da Nang to make the city even more beautiful and prosperous.

On the same day, the Da Nang Party Chief visited and extended his Tet greetings to families of war invalids Tran Viet Kiem and Dao Thi Nam, both living in Hai Chau Dstrict. Mr Quang hoped that the wounded soldiers would live happily and healthily, as well as set a good example for their children and grandchildren to follow.
