Da Nang Public-Sector Trade Union ensures good care of its members
The Da Nang Public-Sector Trade Union on Tuesday held a review of its performance in 2022 and identify key tasks in 2023.
In 2022, the Trade Union Organization made great efforts to ensure good care of employees within public sector or governmental organizations across the city with a focus on giving gifts to 728 employees in difficult circumstances at a total cost of VND 394 million, providing free bus tickets for 105 members to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet on the occasion of Year of the Tiger Lunar New Year 2022. In addition, 460 million VND was spent on repairing degraded houses and building new ones for 17 disadvantaged members. Furthermore, financial assistance was provided for those hit hardest by natural disasters. Besides, 614 blood units were collected from public employees through the city’s blood donation drives.
In 2023, the Trade Union Organization will focus on successfully organizing the Trade Union Congress at all levels, the 7th Congress of the Da Nang Public-Sector Trade Union for the 2023-2028 tenure. Heed will be paid to improving operational efficiency of the organization in order to bring more benefits to public employees across the city.
Also at the event, 31 organizations and individuals were honoured with certificates of merit from the Municipal Confederation of Labour in recognition of their dedication and commitment to the city’s patriotic emulation movements and trade union activities in 2022.
To mark this occasion, the Da Nang Public-Sector Trade Union organized its program to offer 825 gifts, and 2,700 discount coupons that allowed the recipients to shop at Trade Union Tet Fair with discounts, at a total cost of VND 827.5 million. In addition, 127 immigrant public employees and their family members were supported with cost of transport and of meals to return their hometowns to celebrate Tet.
