He remarked that taking care of social policy families and the poor on the occasion of Tet was a great policy that the Party and State have always paid special attention and have been implemented effectively. He highly appreciated great efforts made by the Party committees, authorities, mass organizations, businesses and benefactors in Da Nang in organizing such a meaningful fair for needy people.

He requested Party committees, authorities and mass organizations at all levels to continue to help social policy families, people with meritorious services, poor households, low-income earners across the city to celebrate a joyful, safe, and economical Tet.

He also took the opportunity to call on government agencies, organizations, businesses and benefactors to continue accompanying the city’s Red Cross Society and the Women's Union to help the poor, women and children in difficult circumstances celebrate a happy Tet, contributing to beautify the nation's benevolent tradition.

Featuring a total of 40 booths with a total gift value of up to VND.2 billion, the fair was open for 1,180 disadvantaged households affected by natural disasters in 2022, orphans in difficult circumstances, and poor women.

Among them were some booths providing essential products from the ‘Mobile Supermarket’ supported by the Coca-Cola Fund in the form of vouchers worth VND1 million for needy people.

Besides, some booths provided free Tet services for fair-goers such as hair cutting and calligraphy writing. There were zero-dong booths, or ones selling and introducing the company's products in the form of subsidies.

Visitors to the fair had a chance to participate in a number of fun folk games, and a communication program on clean water and disease prevention in emergency situations and in Tet.

On the occasion, the city’s Women's Union awarded 100 gifts, totalling VND90 million from the ‘Godmother’ programme, to orphans in need of assistance, gave bicycles and trolleys, valued at VND100 million in total, from the ‘Means of livelihood’ programme, to 30 poor women.
