Rainfall set to gradually decline in Da Nang from Saturday night
The Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting has forecast that there will be a gradual decrease in rainfall over Da Nang from Saturday night, January 7.
Da Nang experienced rain showers over the past 24 hours.
As per the regional weather service, light to moderate rainfall is likely across the city while heavy downpours are possible in some places. Wet weather will linger today into Saturday, January 7 but rain activity is expected to gradually decline from Saturday night.
The rain in the city could see between 50mm and 80mm fall in Hoa Vang and Cam Le districts, with up to more than 120mm possible in some places.
As much as 50mm-100mm of rain could fall in Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son districts, and even more than 120mm at isolated locations.
Meanwhile, Lien Chieu, Thanh Khe and Hai Chau districts could receive between 40mm and 70mm of rain with more than 100mm possible in some places.
The regional weather service has issued heavy rain advisory, indicating the affected areas and the expected rainfall to alert the public of potential flooding due to heavy rain in the warning areas, so as to take precautionary measures. Regional forecasters also remind affected areas to take appropriate responsive actions to alleviate the impact of flooding in concerned areas.
