These days, social protection establishments located in the city have been vibrant with collective cultural activities and celebrations to ring in the spring season.

The atmosphere to welcome in the Year of Cat 2023 does help these disadvantaged people here forget their sadness and join in the common joy.

Many local agencies have paid pre-Tet rounds to these centres so as to extend best wishes and give Tet gifts to the disadvantaged, a worth-praising move showing the spirit of solidarity and mutual care.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi To Uyen, the Director of the city's Social Sponsor Centre, people who stay here mainly the lonely elderly citizens, orphans or those with special circumstances.

In addition to gifts worth VND 850,000 each according to the allowance from the Da Nang Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the centre also received a lot of support from organisations to be able to bring a cozy and jubilant to the disadvantaged.

In a similar vein, at facilities such as the Da Nang SOS Children's Village and the Centre for Raising Children with Difficulties, also known as the Village of Hope, as well as the Nursing Centre for the Mentally-ill, the staff are also eager to prepare for the upcoming Tet events.

As reported by Ms. Phan Thi Van Duyen, the Deputy Director of the Centre for Caring Disadvantaged Children, this site always creates favourable conditions for children with disabilities to have practical gifts to celebrate Tet.

Love is the thread that unites individuals at social sponsor facilities into one big family. For officials and employees working here, in the new year, they have more special Tet holidays.

Along with that is the care, support and companionship of the local authorities and the social community at large so that the disadvantaged can overcome their difficulties in life and optimistically welcome in Tet in a fully jubilant way.
