Cool, unsettled weather continues in Da Nang until Friday
A cold front is moving through Da Nang, resulting in isolated moderate to heavy rainfall from Tuesday night, the Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting said on Wednesday afternoon.
By the coastal areas they will see high winds at levels 3 to 4, and gustiness of level 6 at isolated places while farther inland you could find strong wind at level 3.
The unsettled weather is set to continue into Friday, February 17, with isolated moderate falls expected over the city along with the minimum temperature likely to settle in the range from 19-21 degrees Celsius. The coolest temperatures are in the early morning and at night across the city.
A high wind warning is in effect for the waters of the Hoang Sa Islands as this area could see strong northeasterly winds at levels 6 to 7, gustiness of levels 8 to 9, rough seas with waves as high as 3-5m. Strong northeasterly winds at level 6, and the gusts reaching levels 7 to 8, as well as rough seas with waves as high as 2-4m are in forecast for the open waters off the Da Nang coast.
Regional forecasters have issued warnings of strong winds and big waves to all vessels and fishermen operating at the above-mentioned affected areas. The regional weather service have also issued a caution for fishermen and mariners, urging them not to go out into the sea during severe weather conditions, and to take the initiative to avoid dangerous areas or seek safe shelters during the bad weather.
