At about 6:50 am on Friday, a crew member of fishing boat QNa 93231TS, hailing from Cam Kim Commune, Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province, suddenly became paralysed and fell into a deep coma when going fishing in Da Nang waters.
After receiving SOS message, the Viet Nam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center (Viet Nam MRCC) requested the fishing boat to immediately stop operating and move to the mainland.
Also, the Viet Nam MRCC connected with the 115 Da Nang Emergency Center to timely provide first aid instructions for the victim.
Through the medical team's diagnosis, the victim was in a very critical condition. Therefore, the Viet Nam MRCC asked the Da Nang MRCC to send out its rescue ship SAR 412, carrying doctors from the city’s Emergency Center 115, to help the victim.
At 10:31am on the same day, the maritime rescue force approached the fishing boat and performed on-the-spot emergency treatment for the patient. Fortunately, the patient's life was saved.
At 12:19 pm, the ship SAR 412 brought the patient back to Da Nang safely and handed him over to the authorities according to regulations. The city’s Emergency Center 115 received the patient and rushed to take him to the hospital for further treatment.
