The course is under the guidance of Mr. David Field, an Australian rescue expert and volunteer, and members of the Australian Rescue Association.

During the 4-day training course, members of the Da Nang Lifeguard Team are trained in advanced skills, such as Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) first aid, how to use lifebuoys and transport drowning victims, and ways to prevent drowning for children.

Head of the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourism Beaches Nguyen Duc Vu highlighted the training course was a good opportunity for members of the city’s Lifeguard Team to foster their knowledge and improve professional skills.

Thanks to the course, members of the Lifeguard Team can improve their knowledge and skills in rescue operations in order to meet work requirements, thereby proactively ensuring absolute safety for locals and tourists, especially as the peak tourist season is approaching.
