The Da Nang Architects' Association held a ceremony on Thursday to celebrate the 75^th birthday of the Viet Nam Architects' Association (April 27), and launch Sao Bien Architecture Awards 2023.

In his speech delivered at the ceremony, Mr. To Van Hung, Secretary of the Hoa Vang District Party Committee cum Chairman of the Da Nang Architects’ Association informed that, after 75 years of establishment, the Viet Nam Architects' Association has strongly grown in both quantity and quality.

From 8 architects on the first day of its founding, the Viet Nam Architects' Association has till date had more than 6,500 members.

The country has nearly 30 architect training institutions with more than 1,000 graduates every year, meeting the increasing demands of the society.

Currently, the Da Nang Architects’ Association has more than 500 architects, including 183 members of the Viet Nam Architects’ Association and 3 affiliated clubs.

Over the past years, the Da Nang Architects’ Association has contributed many valuable architectural works, such as the city’s Gymnasium, the Software Park, the Cancer Hospital, the Children's Cultural Palace, the General Science Library, the ‘Cau Vang’ Golden Bridge at Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area, and the APEC Sculpture Garden.

In the coming time, the Da Nang Architects’ Association will be actively involved in the construction, renovation and development of Da Nang and leaving many imprints to the general development of the country's architectural industry.

On the occasion, the Viet Nam Architects’ Association presented Certificates of Merit to the Da Nang Architects’ Association and 9 local architects in recognition of their remarkable achievements in professional activities.

Also, 10 architects were awarded Certificates of Merit and Medals for the cause of the architectural industry.

The Da Nang Architects’ Association gave Certificates of Merit to 22 local architects in honour of their outstanding achievements in the association's activities in 2022-2023.
