In late March, the Hoa Vang District authorities in Da Nang handed over the accommodation establishment to teachers who are working in schools in Hoa Bac Commune.

Teachers working in Hoa Bac mountainous commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang, feel secure when the city supports free accommodation.

The housing development features 4 rooms with kitchens, toilets and a garage with the total construction area of 300m²; plus fence, gate and concrete foundation with the construction area of 200m².

The total cost of repairing and building the accommodation establishment is more than VND1.4 billion.

All teachers in Hoa Bac Commune feel very excited at new and spacious houses, helping them save monthly housing rental fees.

Previously, Bui Thi Tran Dung, who is a teacher of the Hoa Bac Kindergarten, faced many difficulties in housing when she had to travel a long distance from Hoa Khuong Commune to Hoa Bac Commune every day to work, especially in the rainy season. After that, she and her husband had to rent a house near the kindergarten with the average monthly rent of VND1.5 million to facilitate travel.

"I am really grateful to the local government for listening to us and creating conditions for us through the construction of houses. My husband and I feel very excited because now we don't have to worry about the monthly housing rental fees" Mrs. Dung said.

Sharing the same opinion with Mrs. Dung, Nguyen Thi Oanh, 24, hailing from Quang Binh Province, who is working at the Hoa Bac Primary School, feels more secure as she has a free beautiful house.

"Initially, I faced many difficulties in life because the starting salary for teachers is quite low, but monthly living expenses are high, especially housing rental fees. But now, I can work more comfortably when the local government has developed a free housing development for me and other co-workers in the similar circumstance" she added.

Deputy Head of the Education and Training Office in Hoa Vang District Phan Huu Dung said after realising the housing problems facing teachers working at school sites in Hoa Bac Commune, the Education and Training Office proposed to repair and upgrading the boarding houses for those in need.
