The painting contest was within the framework of the programme ‘Opening the sea tourism season 2023’ with the desire to contribute to raising public awareness of protecting the natural ecosystem in the Son Tra Peninsula, and through the contest, it contributes to creating a playground to help develop the students' artistic talents, arouse the love of nature and love the homeland.

With the theme ‘Brown-shanked douc langur - Treasure of the Son Tra Peninsula’, the entries were required to show the children's love of nature for the Son Tra Peninsula that is dubbed as the green lung of the city, especially brown-shanked douc langur, presenting the idea of community solutions to join hands to protect this type of animal on the peninsula.

According to the event’s organisers, all of the paintings created at this year's contest were quite good quality, focusing on the right topics and bright colours. One first, 2 second, 3 third and 4 consolation prizes were given out to the outstanding contestants.
