In his remarks at the Tuesday meeting to check the preparatory works for the upcoming Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2023, municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang highly appreciated the direction and preparation by the festival's steering committee, especially the Sun Group-developed programme script.

He, however, asked relevant units not to be subjective and not let any negligence occur during the event.

The city Party chef suggested that 100% of military, police and border guard forces should be mobilised to perform their tasks during the fireworks performance nights. Meanwhile, competition teams should ensure absolute safety and carefully prepare the performance scripts.

In addition, he highly appreciated the preparation of logistics and reception works by the advisory agencies and emphasised that this is a big event prone to many problems, so the Sun Group and the municipal Department of Construction are responsible for the safety of the viewing stands.

Importance will be attached to closely keeping an eye on unmanned aerial vehicles and drones, stopping the sale of DIFF tickets at the black market and fake ones, and taking measures to prevent from food poisoning.

According to a report released by the municipal Department of Culture and Sports, till date, all preparatory works for the DIFF 2023 have been already completed, including background music, programming of fireworks shooting scripts, and the installation of viewing stands with a scale of 5,492 seats, main stage, and sound and light systems.

The organisers have completed the framework of art programmes during the five fireworks performance nights. Notably, the arts programmes in the opening and closing nights are produced by general director Nguyen Khai Anh, Deputy Director of the Viet Nam Television Film Centre. The remaining arts nights are chaired by the Trung Vuong Theatre.

DIFF 2023 will have 28 sideline activities, including the music festival programme DaNang Electronic Carnival; Online check-in photo contest entitled “DIFF- Light up the borderless world”, the M-Pack Carnival and the Street Food programme.
