Therefore, the Da Nang Water Supply JSC closed 6 collection gates, and stopped collecting water from Cam Le River in the morning of the same day.

Then, the company completely pumped water from the upstream of the An Trach Dam to supply for the pipeline network, so local residents will use fresh water instead of brackish water as for the past days.

Regarding the forecast information, the tidal peak is increasing, the highest is from May 9 to 12. As a result, there is a shortage of production water and there is a risk of a shortage of domestic water.

General Director of the Da Nang Water Supply JSC Ho Minh Nam said that the company will try to pump enough water from the upstream of the An Trach Dam to the Cau Do Water Plant to ensure the city's production and daily life activities.

It is expected that the highest salinity in the Vu Gia, Thu Bon, Tam Ky and Vinh Dien rivers appears from May 8 - 10. The saltwater intrusion is likely to affect agricultural production, and daily life of local people in the downstream of Vu Gia, Thu Bon and Vinh Dien rivers.
