Da Nang makes careful preparations for DIFF 2023

The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2023 is expected to attract a large number of visitors at both home and abroad. Therefore, the city has been making all-out efforts to ensure the success of the biggest and most anticipated entertainment event, with a focus on guaranteeing traffic order and safety, fire prevention and fighting, rescue, and food safety and hygiene.

Traffic rearrangement to ensure security

On fireworks performance nights of June 2, June 10, June 17, June 24 and July 8, the maximum of police forces and vehicles will be mobilised to perform tasks at main roads, checkpoints and viewing stands to ensure traffic safety, and fire prevention and fighting;, as well as absolutely protect the safety of Party and State leaders, guests, organisers, participating teams, and visitors.

Also, police in relevant wards will increase patrols in all fireworks areas, crossroads, and such main streets as Bach Dang, Tran Phu, September 2, Le Duan and February 3 during and after the event.

Efforts will be make to handle the illegal parking of private cars on streets, and gangs, groups, and subjects specialising in theft and pickpocketing activities at festivals and events.

Ensuring food safety

Catering services for people and tourists during DIFF 2023 are expected to increase sharply, setting the goal of ensuring quality and preventing food poisoning. S

Accordingly, the Son Tra District authorities have directed the Health Divisions at ward level to inspect street food business establishments.

The city’s Food Safety Steering Committee has developed a plan to inspect the locations of food, food service, and street food businesses in Hai Chau, Son Tra and Ngu Hanh districts.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Hai, Head of the city’s Food Safety Management Board, said that functional forces paid special attention to inspecting the observance of the provisions of the law on food hygiene and safety in food production, business and processing such as certificates that establishments are qualified for food safety; certificates of commitment to produce safe food; product and goods quality monitoring records; origins of raw materials, food additives; conditions for ensuring food safety; health certificates for establishment owners, producers and traders; process of processing, preserving and transporting food; and water for food processing.
