No road traffic accidents reported in Da Nang over 5-day holiday break
According to the latest figures released by the Traffic Police Division of the Da Nang Police Department, no road traffic accidents were reported in the city during the five-day break for the National Reunification Day (April 30) and Labour Day (May 1) holidays from April 28 - May 3.
Also, there were no violations involved in illegal street motorbike racing, traffic jams and fighting against law enforcement officers.
During that period, traffic police in the city detected and made 1,299 records of administrative violation to those failed the city’s traffic rules with 298 cars and 1,001 motorcycles involved.
As a result, a combined total of VND669 million in fines, which was imposed on 325 violation cases, went to the city's branch of the Viet Nam State Treasury. Five cars and 317 motorbikes were temporarily seized, whilst 58 drivers had their driving licences revoked.
In which, 263 cases of violations were involved in alcohol, 73 in exceeding the speed limit, and 6 in carrying overloaded goods.
Moreover, traffic police of the Hoa Hiep Gate Traffic Police Station detected and made 92 records of administrative violations to those for breaking the city’s traffic rules on the Hai Van Pass, and temporarily seized 23 vehicles.
