The event was co-organised by the municipal Association of Charities and Children's Rights Protection, the Da Nang Newspaper, the Da Nang Radio and Television Station, the municipal Youth Union, the Women's Union, and the Labour Federation.

In his remarks at the event, Chairwoman of the municipal Association of Charities and Children's Rights Protection Le Thi Tam said that the ‘Human Warmth’ fundraising concert, which was authorised by the municipal Party Committee in 2014, has been so far held four times.

In previous events, more than VND30 billion was raised from generous philanthropists to help needy people.

She highlighted the meaningfulness of the programme in acting as a bridge and becoming a place to meet and honour the ‘golden hearts’ and ‘noble deeds’ for the poor, the unfortunate, and children with special difficulties.

Mrs. Tam also called on mass organisations, benefactors, NGOs, religious organisations and businesses to continue to give active support for the programme and other future activities of the association in the coming time, thereby contributing to building Da Nang into a safe city free of violence against women and girls.

On the occasion, the organisers awarded 100 scholarships, worth VND2 million each, to disadvantaged children. The municipal Association of Charities and Children's Rights Protection gave support funds under the ‘Godmother’ programme to 20 disadvantaged children.
