Traffic arrangements for DIFF 2023

The Da Nang Department of Transport announced on Thursday that it has just implemented a plan on traffic rearrangements in preparation for the upcoming Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2023.

Accordingly, vehicles will be banned from travelling on some streets during the fireworks performance nights on June 2, June 10, June 17, June 24 and July 8.

Specifically, from 4.00pm until the end of each fireworks performance night, all cars, except for ones with DIFF registration plates, will be prohibited from travelling on a section of Bach Dang Street between its intersections with the Dragon Bridge and February 3 Street), Tran Phu Street, February 3 Street, a section of Le Duan Street between its intersections with Nguyen Chi Thanh and Bach Dang streets, a section of Tran Hung Dao Street between its intersections with Vu Van Dung and Van Don streets, Nguyen The Loc Street, and Pham Van Dong Street (except for over 30-seater passenger cars).

Also, no vehicles, except for ones with DIFF registration plates, will be allowed to travel on a section of Bach Dang between its intersections with Phan Dinh Phung and Ly Thuong Kiet, An Don, the Han River Bridge, a section of Tran Hung Dao between its intersections with Vu Van Dung and Van Don streets, Nguyen The Loc and Pham Van Dong (except for over 30-seater passenger cars). The ban covers the hours from 5.00pm until the end of each evening’s fireworks show.

Over 30-seater tourist coaches will be prohibited from travelling on a section of Ngo Quyen Street between its intersections with the Han River Bridge and Vuong Thua Vu Street from 4:00pm until the end of fireworks performance shows.

From 4.00pm to midnight, trailers and semi-trailers will not be allowed to travelling on the Ngo Quyen - Ngu Hanh Son route.

From 3:00pn to midnight on June 2, June 10, June 17, June 24 and July 8, all cars, except for ones with DIFF registration plates, will be prohibited from stopping and parking along the section of Bach Dang between its intersection of Nguyen Van Linh and Thanh Dien Hai streets, Tran Phu, the running roads between Bach Dang and Tran Phu,  the section of Tran Hung Dao between its intersection of Vu Van Dung and Van Don streets, the section of Ngo Quyen between its intersection of Han River Bridge and Vuong Thua Vu Street, running roads between Tran Hung Dao and Ngo Quyen streets, approach roads to the Rong and Han River bridges, a section of Tran Thanh Tong Street between its intersection with Ngo Quyen Street and Van Don Street, a section of Van Don Street between its intersection with Tran Thanh Tong Street and Tran Hung Dao Street, a section of Ho Nghinh Street between its intersection with Vuong Thua Vu Street and Vo Van Kiet Street, and Pham Van Dong Street.

As for vehicles that are allowed to stop and park on banned roads to serve DIFF 2023 such as VIP cars, organisers’ cars, ambulances, fire engines, broadcasting vehicles, electricity troubleshooting cars, technical vehicles and vehicles transporting water supply for temporary toilets, local police regulate the position of stopping, parking and turning in order to ensure traffic order and safety.

Regarding the gathering places for some types of vehicles, under 30-seater tourist coaches will be allowed to travel to the Van Don - Tran Hung Dao intersection and gather roads north of the intersection. Meanwhile, over 30-seater tourist coaches will gather along Pham Van Dong street.

With regard to traffic arrangements to different firework viewing stands, local residents and tourists will follow the following routes:

Ngo Quyen - Tran Thanh Tong - Van Don - intersection of Van Don and Tran Hung Dao.

Ngo Quyen - Chu Huy Man - Van Don - intersection of Van Don and Tran Hung Dao.

Le Duc Tho - Ho Han Thuong - Le Van Duyet - intersection of Van Don and Tran Hung Dao.

Le Duc Tho - Chu Huy Man - Ho Han Thuong - Le Van Duyet - intersection of Van Don and Tran Hung Dao.

Meanwhile, under 30-seater tourist coaches will be required to follow the route: Nguyen Luong Bang - Nguyen Sinh Sac - Nguyen Tat Thanh - Thuan Phuoc Bridge - Le Duc Tho - road connecting Le Duc Tho to Chu Huy Man - Chu Huy Man - Ho Han Thuong - Le Van Duyet - intersection of Van Don and Tran Hung Dao.

Over 30-seater tourist coaches will follow the routes:

Nguyen Tat Thanh - Nguyen Sinh Sac - Hoang Thi Loan - Truong Chinh - Le Dai Hanh - Nguyen Huu Tho - Xo Viet Nghe Tinh - September 2 - Tran Thi Ly Bridge - Ngo Quyen - Pham Van Dong.

Ton Duc Thang Street - Truong Chinh - Le Dai Hanh - Nguyen Huu Tho - Xo Viet Nghe Tinh - September 2 - Tran Thi Ly Bridge - Ngo Quyen - Pham Van Dong.

On the southwestern part of the city:

Tourist coaches with 35 seats or less will travel on the route: National Highway 1 - Pham Hung - Cam Le Bridge - Ong Ich Duong - Cach Mang Thang Tam, and these vehicles will be then divided into 3 groups:

Tourist coaches with 30 seats or less will travel on Cach Mang Thang Tam - September 2 - Tien Son Bridge - Ho Xuan Huong - Vo Nguyen Giap - Vuong Thua Vu - Tran Thanh Tong - Van Don - intersection of Van Dong and Tran Hung Dao.

Vehicles with over 30 seats will follow the route: Cach Mang Thang Tam - September 2 - Tran Thi Ly Bridge - Ngo Quyen - Pham Van Dong.

Vehicles with over 35 seats will run on the route: National Highway 1 - Cach Mang Thang Tam - September 2 - Tran Thi Ly Bridge - Ngo Quyen - Pham Van Dong.

On the southeastern part of the city:

Below 30-seater tourist coaches will travel on:

Truong Sa Street - Vo Nguyen Giap - Vuong Thua Vu - Tran Thanh Tong - Van Don - intersection of Van Don and Tran Hung Dao.

Le Van Hien - Ho Xuan Huong - Vo Nguyen Giap - Vuong Thua Vu - Tran Thanh Tong - Van Don - intersection of Van Don and Tran Hung Dao.

Over 30-seater tourist coaches will use the route:

Le Van Hien - Ngu Hanh Son - Ngo Quyen - Pham Van Dong.

Truong Sa Street - Vo Nguyen Giap - Ho Xuan Huong - Ngu Hanh Son - Ngo Quyen - Pham Van Dong.
