Within the framework of the ongoing 42^nd meeting of the ASEAN Committee on Disaster Management (ACDM) in Da Nang, the 18^th meeting of the Governing Board of the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management (AHA Centre) took place on Wednesday.

At the Wednesday meeting, the delegates updated the working progress of the AHA Centre and reported on the results of the activities from November 2022 to April 2023 and the centre’s organisational development and financial situation.

Accordingly, the AHA Centre was highly appreciated for its effective coordination and cooperation with the ASEAN Secretariat as well as disaster prevention and control agencies of ASEAN countries in the operation of the centre and enhancing disaster preparedness and response capacity across the ASEAN region, towards building a resilient ASEAN community in disaster response.
