The Da Nang government has approved the project on the environmental protection of the city's industry and trade industry for the 2021 - 2025 period and orientation to 2030.

As for the project's objective, by 2025, the rate of greenhouse gas emissions from electric and energy new and renewable will reduce from 1 - 2%/year. 100% of the hazardous wastes from industrial plants are recycled, reused and treated to meet environmental protection requirements. 90% of the markets will carry out solid waste sorting and collection. 80% of the total amount of ordinary industrial solid waste generated from production, business, service establishments and craft villages shall be collected, reused, recycled and treated to ensure environmental protection requirements. 80% of the commercial centers, large supermarkets and 60% of the markets use environmentally friendly packaging.

With regard to groups of solutions to implement the project, focus will be on completing documents guiding the implementation of legal regulations on environmental protection in industry and trade, eliminating the sources of environmental pollution, disseminating regulations on environmental protection, prompting human resource training and promoting pilot green industrial models in the industry.
