DIFF - An attractive event for locals and visitors
In an interview with a Da Nang Newspaper reporter about the preparatory works for the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2023, Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, President of Sun Group in Central Viet Nam, affirmed that DIFF was not only the light festival but also the most anticipated event after 3 years of absence due to the impact of COVID-19.

He said that till date, all preparations for the festival have been already completed from the installation of viewing stands, and sound and light systems, to carefully staged musical performances.
President Binh added the festival’s organisers have been focusing on ensuring security and safety, and preventing fire and explosion during fireworks performance nights.
Specifically, the Da Nang Police Department of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue closely monitors the current status and guides the implementation of fire safety in all stages such as fireworks storage areas, firecracker installation at the shooting area, and improving fire prevention knowledge for hotel and restaurant owners.
In addition, the organisers paid great attention to crime prevention and control in crowded areas, and arranging security forces at some fireworks display points. Meanwhile, the military medical force of the Da Nang Border Guard has coordinated with the Emergency Center 115 to arrange medical workers on ships and canoes on the river to be ready to conduct first aid when required.
Mr. Binh remarked since the ticket sales for the event opened at 2:00 pm on May 8, more than 80% of tickets have been sold. Particularly, tickets for the opening night were sold out right after the organisers announced information about the festival in a few days. That showed the great attraction of DIFF after a three-year hiatus due to COVID-19.
He noted information about the festival was always spread strongly and quickly through media channels as well as social networks.
Particularly, the opening night on June 2 and the closing night on July 8 will be broadcast live on VTV1 so that the audience across the country can admire the brilliant fireworks displays in the sky of Da Nang. The remaining three performance nights will be broadcast live on the Da Nang Radio and Television Station.
In addition to this year's DIFF, Sun Group continues to work with the city in organising a wide array of sideline events, including the Lantern Festival, B'estival Food and Beer Festival, the South Korean Cultural Festival, and the French Cultural Festival at the Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area.
These are among a series of festivals in the "WOW Viet Nam" campaign initiated by Sun Group with the mission of beautifying the lands, accompanying Vietnamese tourism, honouring attractive tourist destinations across the country, and promoting Viet Nam tourism to the world.
