The more than US$ 1 million project is funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) through Medipeace.
It is being implemented at the Tuong Lai (Future) Special School, the Da Nang Centre for Inclusive Education Development Support, and 10 primary schools with disabled pupils learning inclusive education in the city from April 2023 - December 2025.
Mrs. Yen affirmed that leaders of the city and related departments and agencies were willing to support and create favourable conditions for the project to be put into operation effectively and bring practical value to the community.
In reply, Chairman Chai Jong Yil highly appreciated the city's interest and support for the project.
He informed that Medipeace is the first non-religious NGO in South Korea, with a focus on raising global public awareness of health and wellness by providing humanitarian assistance and healthcare for disadvantaged and vulnerable groups.
With its great potential and experience, Medipeace will make efforts to promote and improve the quality of inclusive and specialised education in Da Nang in the time to come, he emphasised.
