Central Digital Café Club makes debut in Da Nang

At the ceremony, journalist Le Duc Sao, Vice Chairman of the Viet Nam Digital Media Association, handed over the decision to establish the Central Digital Café Club and appoint Mrs. Ngo Phuong Thao, Deputy Director of Viet Nam Center for Information and Digital Communication, as Chairwoman of the Central Digital Café Club.
The Digital Café Club under the Viet Nam Digital Media Association was launched in 2018. Its mission is to gather and connect policy makers, researchers and entrepreneurs with the media, thereby enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation for the development of the country in general and digital transformation in particular.
After 5 years of operation, the club has successfully organised more than 60 seminars to discuss the country's socio-economic problems which are of interest to the press and the public. These events have seen the participation of economic experts Tran Dinh Thien, Nguyen Dinh Cung and Vo Tri Thanh, education specialists Prof. Nguyen Minh Thuyet and Prof. Ho Ngoc Dai, famous experts on epidemics such as doctor Nguyen Trung Cap, along with leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Industry and Trade.
In addition, the Digital Café Club has hosted 20 training courses on journalistic skills and working processes for young journalists which have been taught and guided by editors-in-chief and reputable journalists. All of these activities are non-profit.

Also at the launching ceremony, the Central Digital Café Club held the first digital thematic activity with the theme of ‘Journalists’ right to access information’.
During the event, participating journalists and experts shared issues involving the operation of media agencies in the current context, as well as how to improve the ability to operate effectively and the quality of journalism, in order to contribute to the country’s progress in general and the development of journalism in particular.
