Da Nang official presents gifts to social policy families

On Tuesday, Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary cum People's Council Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet visited and presented gifts to some social policy families in Son Tra District on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023).

During his visits to the families of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, wounded ex-serviceman class 3/4 Tran Ngoc Anh and Heroic Vietnamese Mother Do Thi Nha, both living in An Hai Bac Ward, Deputy Secretary Triet wished them good health and expressed his deep gratitude for their great service and sacrifices in the struggle for national independence.

He hoped that they will continue encouraging their descendants to uphold traditional patriotism and make even greater efforts for the progress of the city.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Anh was conferred the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the State President in 2012. He is currently living with his wife, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tra, a war invalid class 4/4, who was contaminated with toxic chemicals during revolutionary activities.

Mrs. Do Thi Nha was conferred the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother by the State President in 2014, and is also a war invalid class 4/4 who was imprisoned for revolutionary activities. Her husband and one son were both martyrs, who died while on duty in 1967 and 1969.
