North Central Coast to continue to see hot days, mercury may cross 39 °C today
Northern Viet Nam and the parts from Da Nang to Phu Yen are in for a spell of hot weather as the temperature is expected to cross 39 degree Celsius at isolated locations on Tuesday, July 11, according to Viet Nam’s National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.
While thundery showers are forecast in some places of the parts from Da Nang to Binh Thuan during the late afternoon and night hours on Tuesday, they would not provide much relief as the maximum temperature is likely to settle at 35- 37 degrees Celsius, and even cross the 37 degree-mark at isolated places the northern part of the region, while the minimum temperature ranges between 25 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius. The lowest humidity level in these localities will be between 50% and 60%.
Today, there is a chance of light rain with thunder and lightning at few places in the parts from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien – Hue, especially in the late afternoon and night, but not much relief is expected. Day temperature in these areas will cross 39 degrees Celsius at isolated locations, with 35 to 38 degrees Celsius expected across these areas.
The national weather agency has asked citizens in the affected areas to take adequate care against thunder and lightning.
Hot and humid weather, with possible isolated rain showers and thunderstorms will persist over the Northern region and the parts from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen, including Da Nang, over the next several days.
