Automatic entry systems launched at Da Nang international airport
The police at the Da Nang International Airport has officially put four automatic entry systems (Autogate) into operation to facilitate the entry of travellers and speed up immigration procedures.

In detail, two systems are installed in the departure area and the others in the arrival area. In the initial phase of operation, the Autogate is applied to Vietnamese citizens with valid passports.
Those who hold non-electronic chip passports must successfully register before using the Autogate. They only need to register for a permit once for all subsequent entry and exit occasions as long as the passport remains valid.
The Autogate has not been applied yet for the entry of foreign passengers, and the service is only applicable for the departure of foreigners if they possess valid residence cards or temporary residence cards issued by authorised Vietnamese agencies.
Passengers using Autogate must go through two layers of doors. In the first door, passengers have to have their passports and boarding passes scanned, wait for the system to process them until the door opens.
When stepping through the second door, passengers have their portrait photos taken and fingerprints scanned. Once done, this door will open.
The introduction of Autogate at this airport aims to shorten the time of entry and exit handling procedures for passengers, save manpower for controllers, enhance security measures and prevent document forgery in the immigration process, thereby contributing to elevating Viet Nam's position in the increasingly international integration, especially in terms of immigration management.
