Da Nang Newspaper donates 'Bookcase of compassion' to the Future Special School

On Tuesday, representatives of the Da Nang Newspaper donated a 'Bookcase of compassion' to the 2nd campus of the Tuong Lai (Future) Special School at 88A Huy Can Street, Khue Trung Ward, Cam Le District.

In his remarks at the donation ceremony, Da Nang Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Duc Nam praised the school’s administrators and teachers for their great efforts in teaching pupils there.

“This bookcase is like a small gift, aiming to make the teaching and learning process at the school more convenient and effective. Hopefully, these colourful books, equipment, and learning aids will encourage pupils to be creative and soon integrate into the community" Mr. Nguyen Duc Nam added.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Quy, the Principal of the Tuong Lai Special School expressed his gratitude for the meaningful and practical gift that Da Nang Newspaper gave to the school.

Also at the ceremony, the Da Nang Newspaper presented a gift to Mrs. Pham Thi Thu Van who has worked in the school for more than 23 years. Despite her difficult situation, Mrs. Van always optimistically overcomes adversity and is dedicated to her work.

To mark this occasion, the FAHASA Da Nang Bookstore, through Da Nang Newspaper, gave the school 500 student notebooks.

Established in 1994, the Future Special School is an educational institution for children with disabilities in Da Nang. Its function and mission is to teach culture and vocational training, and practice social, communication, and self-service skills, for pupils with disabilities in order to help them integrate into the community. Currently, the school has more than 260 pupils at three levels of preschool, primary and junior secondary school.
