For a green space for mental patients
Over the past month, a group of around 12 pupils from the Da Nang-based Le Quy Don Senior High School for the Gifted have been actively involved in planting and donating trees and flowers to mental patients with the aim to help them have more green spaces to play and relax.

Till date, the group has planted and donated more than 100 colourful flower pots for the Da Nang Nursing Centre for the Mentally Ill.
In addition to calling for support, the pupils have sold ice cream to raise fund for the volunteer activity.
Huynh Minh Tri, 16, remarked the activity aimed to create a green - clean - beautiful space, helping patients feel more excited when looking at the donated plants".
Currently, the Nursing Centre for the Mentally Ill has 360 patients. In order to help patients get excited and live well, the centre plants trees, cleans up the campus, and places more stone benches.
"Aside from the diet and drug treatment regimen, the patients here are in great need of special attention and care. Hopefully, in the future, there will be more meaningful activities to make mental patients feel comforted," said Mr. Tan Thanh Vu, the Director of the Da Nang Nursing Centre for the Mentally Ill.
