Da Nang receives VND246.2 billion in aid from NGOs
Between 2019 and 2022, Da Nang mobilised and received 191 aid grants from foreign non-governmental organisations (NGOs) with a total committed budget of VND384.1 billion. Of this figure, VND 246.2 billion was disbursed, reaching 65% of the total.

In the first 8 months of 2023, Da Nang raised a total committed budget of more than VND181 billion in 26 aid grants.
The information was released by the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs at the Wednesday meeting on reviewing foreign non-governmental work in 2023.
Speaking at the event, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh acknowledged the positive results of mobilisation, receipt, management and use of aid from NGOs, as well as highly appreciated the effective cooperation between Da Nang and NGOs.
Thanks to this, the lives of people in difficult circumstances and poor children have been significantly improved. This is considered one of the important resources contributing to the construction and development of the city, Mr. Minh noted.
During the 2023-2025 period, Da Nang continues to mobilise NGOs to provide aid in a number of priority areas such as healthcare, education, vocational training and career guidance, social problems, environment, climate change adaption, natural disaster prevention and mitigation, agriculture, forestry, fishery and rural development, and science and technology.
