Also, she is the founder of the Hoa Uu Dam (Udumbara Flower) Charity Club - a place to share love with the poor.
As Chairwoman of the Women's Union organisation of the ward, Mrs. Dung always finds the most practical activities to bring local women's movements to life, thereby giving many legitimate benefits to members and promoting the development of women in the locality.
She said that in order to mobilise and engage local women to participate in local movements for women. First of all, she has to focus on propaganda work, making women see their responsibilities, obligations as well as rights when participating in such activities.
Her great efforts are paid off as all members of the Women's Union organisations in residential areas actively participate in environmental protection movements as well as building models and examples of cultural environments.
On the 15th day of every month, members of Women's Association chapters in residential areas provide free 500 portions of meals for the needy in the locality.
In order to have funds to carry out these meaningful and humane programmes and activities, members of the Women's Association chapters in residential areas have worked together to classify waste at source and sell recyclable items to raise funds targeting those in difficult circumstances. Nearly VND10 million is raised every month from the sale of recyclable trash.
Besides, Mrs. Dung also actively calls for financial support from generous donors.
For instance, the Mrs. Dung-proposed "Agricultural products linked with love" model which has been implemented since late 2020 has helped connect and create output for production and farming households; as well as raise charity funds to support poor and disadvantaged women and children.
With the spirit of mutual love, in 2013, Mrs. Dung established the Hoa Uu Dam Charity Club with the aim to connect people with similar thoughts and desires to help vulnerable people overcome difficulties and challenges in life.
Aside from Da Nang, she and other club members carry out volunteer activities in difficult mountainous communes of Quang Nam, Kon Tum, Quang Ngai, Quang Tri and Ha Tinh provinces. Included are providing food and necessities, and free surgery for poor children with heart complaints, building public amusement park, and giving scholarships to poor studious pupils.
