Da Nang Journalists' Association donates 20 bicycles to poor pupils in Quang Nam

On Friday, the Da Nang Journalists' Association had a working session with the People's Committee of Tien Phuoc District, Quang Nam Province.

At the meeting, Chairman of Tien Phuoc District People's Committee Tram Que Huong happily welcomed the delegation of the Da Nang Journalists’ Association, as well as informed about his district’s economic and social situation and its potential for developing tourism, culture and cuisine.

Chairman Huong hoped that the Association, reporters in Da Nang wouk increase their publicity of the land and people of Tien Phuoc, thereby, contributing to attracting investment and creating strong development for his locality.

In reply, Chairman of the Da Nang Journalists’ Association Nguyen Duc Nam said that the visit was an opportunity for association members and reporters to learn about and obtain more important documents for a sake of producing high-quality press publications in the near future.

He highlighted the district’s potential for the tourism development, including the Loc Yen ancient village. He, therefore, voiced his hope that Tien Phuoc District will continue to develop strongly in the time to come.

On the occasion, the Da Nang Journalists’ Association donated 20 bicycles, totalling more than VND32 million, to poor studious pupils in Tien Phuoc District. The money was from the fund of the 'Ly Ca Phe Yeu Thuong' (Cup of Compassion Coffee) programme launched by the Association.

Also, over 100 books about Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes, and land and people of Quang Nam Province were given to the locality.
