During the programme, the organisers gave 100 helmets to pupils in difficult circumstances.
According to the municipal Traffic Safety Committee, the programme was in response to the Traffic Safety Year Plan 2023 themed "Understanding the Law to Build a Safe Traffic Culture” associated with the "Giving helmets to pupils". This was a practical and noble humane action with the goal of "Wearing a standard helmet to protect yourself".
Building a traffic culture for first graders is one of the solutions to educate traffic safety to them, thereby creating a sense of compliance with traffic laws among pupils. Notably, wearing standard helmets and properly fastening the straps are a safe method to reduce risk of being injured in a traffic accident while sitting on motorbikes. This is a way to protect children and future generations to form the habit of obeying the traffic law right from childhood.
It is known that 700 helmets will be given to first graders in 7 districts across the city.
