On Tuesday, some of Da Nang’s leaders met with retired general officers and former leaders of the city’s Military High Command who are now living in the city on the occasion of the 79^th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2023) and the 34^th anniversary of the All People Defence Festival (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2023).

On behalf of the city leaders, municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang highly praised the city-based armed forces, especially the retirees, for their great devotion to the city’s construction and development over the past years.

He also informed military retirees to the information about the global, regional and domestic situation, and the city's socio-economic situation since the beginning of the year.

Secretary Quang wished them good health, hoping that they will continue to bring bravery, experience and knowledge to accompany the city in implementing patriotic emulation movements at grassroots level, building great national unity, and strengthening consensus among people from all walks of life in the years ahead.
