Since early December 2023, officers and soldiers of professional departments and police of districts, wards, and communes in Da Nang have simultaneously been out every route, street corner, and residential area, aiming to maintain political security, social order and traffic safety.

At the same time, they have actively investigated and prosecuted all types of crimes and social evils in a bid to bring peace to people and tourists during holidays and Tet.

Proactively prosecuting all types of crimes

Major General Vu Xuan Vien, Director of the municipal Department of Police, said that, as the main and core force in ensuring security and order, local police officers closely follow, thoroughly grasp and seriously implement policies, resolutions, and directions of the Central Public Security Party Committee, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the municipal Party Committee, and local People's Committee.

Thanks to this, the political security situation in the city is always maintained, whilst crime continues to be restrained, suppressed, and reduced.

According to Major General Vu Xuan Vien, since the beginning of December 2023, the Da Nang Department of Public Security has launched an action campaign to ensure security, social order and traffic safety in the city during the upcoming Christmas, New Year, and Lunar New Year holidays.

After 20 days of launching the campaign, local police force have successfully investigated and discovered many major cases.

Traffic police are out across the city

Currently, police officers from units and localities are synchronously deploying solutions and professional measures to minimize the number of criminal cases in the city.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Vinh, Head of Ngu Hanh Son District Police Division, the professional teams and police of the four wards in the district continue to coordinate closely with the Non Nuoc Border Guard Station to enhance the sense of responsibility and clearly define requirements and tasks.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Phan Van Thuong, Chief of Thanh Khe District Police Division, said that each officer and soldier of the district police and ward police continue to uphold the sense of responsibility, strengthen their understanding of the situation, and protect their families, and deploy measures to effectively prevent, detect and handle illegal activities.

"Police units and localities simultaneously deployed troops to check names and faces, educate drug addicts. The focus was on strengthening inspection and strictly handling violations in the fields of economy, environment, traffic and order, fire protection and prevention", Major General Vu Xuan Vien emphasised.
