On Monday, Da Nang People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh paid inspection visits to the construction site of the western ring road and DT.601 road, both in Hoa Vang District.

During his visit to DT.601 road, Chairman Chinh requested the municipal Management Board of Traffic Work Construction Investment Projects to take advantage of favourable weather to speed up the construction progress day and night, even weekends.

While checking the two sections of DT.601 road in Huong Phuoc and Quan Nam 3 villages of Hoa Lien Commune, Mr. Chinh asked the management board and contractors to gather vehicles and human resources for completing the construction of these sections before December 31.

He also asked for support from Hoa Lien Communal People's Committee to help construction units ensure site clearance and traffic safety work so that DT.601 road can be completed soon.

Meanwhile, at the construction site of the western ring road, Chairman Chinh reminded relevant units to speed up the implementation of compensation clearance procedures and appraisal of the environmental impact assessment (EIA) report for the section connecting the end of the western ring road with Nguyen Tat Thanh Street with a length of 1.2km.

As for the eroded and buried road section in Hoa Tho Village, Hoa Phu Commune, Mr. Chinh requested the Management Board to complete the construction of one side of the road to allow one-way traffic.

Along with that, relevant units should research and make a plan for the basic treatment of soil and rock slides from hills and mountains and the alignment of the road surface in the opposite direction, he added.

In addition to the large volume of asphalt concrete used to cover layers 1 and 2 on the road surface, the city leader asked contractors to add manpower and facilities for accelerating the construction progress.
