In his remarks at the scientific conference entitled "Current situation, raised issues and new requirements in the process of resolving the relationship between the socialist-oriented market economy - the rule-of-law socialist State - socialist democracy in perfecting the model of socialism in Viet Nam” held in Da Nang on Tuesday, municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang highlighted that the event provided a valuable opportunity for the city to advise on amending and supplementing Resolution No. 119/2020/QH14 of the National Assembly; and developing documents for the 23^rd Congress of the municipal Party Committee in the 2025-2030 term.

Focus on clarifying issues raised in practice

In his opening speech delivered at the conference, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang emphasised the need for the participating delegates to evaluate the results achieved through 40 years of innovation, and the results of the term of the 13^th Party Congress from the reality of Da Nang to contribute to the draft document of the 14^th Party Congress.

Building and rectifying the Party for positive changes

Speaking to welcome the conference, Secretary Quang emphasised that from the beginning of his term until now, in the context of many difficulties and challenges, the Party Committee, government and people of the city have promoted tradition of solidarity and determination, and the synchronous and effective implementation of solutions on all aspects of work.

In recent years, many scientific topics and seminars serving theoretical research and serving as a scientific basis for promulgating resolutions, conclusions, and thematic projects of the municipal Party Committee and its Standing Board.

The municipal Party Committee and its Standing Board have summarised practice and issued many new policies and solutions such as Project No. 03-DA/TU dated August 16, 2022 on a number of solutions to improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee and the quality of party members, as well as build a team of officials to meet the city's development requirements until 2030 and the following years.

Continue to unleash resources for city development

Currently, the city's economy maintains stability, with good growth recorded in some industries and fields, especially service activities, tourism, and software export.

The city continues to focus on taking solutions to promote economic growth with the driving force of high technology and information technology industry associated with building a digital economy and smart cities.

Thanks to that, the city has won the Viet Nam Smart City Award for four years in a row. It has led the provincial digital transformation index among provinces and cities for the third consecutive year in all three key pillars of digital government, digital economy and digital society. It has received the title "Attractive city for innovative startups" for the second year.

Currently, the central coast city of Da Nang is focusing on building mechanisms and policies to develop human resources to serve the semiconductor industry and artificial intelligence; removing limitations and obstacles to free up resources for the city's development; and developing institutions as the foundation and basis for its long-term development.

Also, it is laying an emphasis on carrying out social welfare policies; and maintaining political security and social order and safety.

The city Party chief remarked that the conference was a valuable opportunity for Da Nang to research and absorb methods and experience in implementing Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW over the past five years; advising on amending and supplementing Resolution No. 119/2020/QH14 of the National Assembly; and developing documents for the 23^rd Congress of the municipal Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term to ensure requirements and be consistent with the city's situation.
