At the programme, the High Command of the Viet Nam Coast Guard Region 2 gave 120 gifts, valued at VND1 million each, to social policy families, fishermen and ethnic minority people in difficult circumstances.
The meaningful and practical activity aimed to encourage recipients to overcome difficulties, rise up in life, and celebrate a joyful and warm Tet, thereby contributing to consolidating and strengthening solidarity and the close relationship between the army and the people.
On the occasion, the High Command of the Viet Nam Coast Guard Region 2 widely publicised the Party's policies and guidelines and State legal policies; raised people's awareness about the tasks of the Viet Nam Coast Guard; and mobilised people to actively join efforts with the Coast Guard to protect the country’s sovereignty over its sea and islands.
Previously, the High Command of the Viet Nam Coast Guard Region 2 had worked with the Mass Mobilisation Boards of Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue provinces to present 200 gifts to disadvantaged people and fishermen to help them celebrate Tet Festival 2024.
