A border guard in Da Nang has been recently honoured for helping a foreign family in distress in the city.

Captain Do Van Chien returns property to the family of foreign tourist in distress

At 6:00 pm on December 31, 2023, Captain Do Van Chien, Head of the Reconnaissance Division of the Da Nang Port Border Guard, detected a foreign family involved in a traffic accident at the bend on the road to the Linh Ung Pagoda, Son Tra District while being on duty. The foreign 4-member family consists of a man, and his wife along with two young daughters.

Captain Do Van Chien immediately provided initial first aid for injured victims, and called an ambulance to take them to the VINMEC Hospital for treatment.

After the ambulance transported the tourist's family to the hospital, Captain Do Van Chien discovered a smart phone of a family member left at the scene. He went to the hospital to visit foreign victims and at the same time returned the property to its owner.

Then, the foreign family wrote a letter to thank Captain Do Van Chien for his good deeds which created a deep impression in the heart of international tourists about the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers.
