Workers are excited

Since February 15 (the 6th day of the first lunar month), more than 3,500 workers of the Murata Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd. based in the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park have come back to work after the holiday.

President of the company's Trade Union organisation Le Nguyen Khanh Huong said that on the first working day of the new lunar year, 100% of workers arrived at the company.

According to Mrs. Huong, the company currently has a large and stable number of orders, so all production activities have been actively implemented since the beginning of the lunar year.

Similarly, since February 15, six factories with more than 3,000 workers of the March 29 Textile and Garment JSC have been back to normal operations.

President of the company's Trade Union organisation Le Thi Hai Chau said that on the first working day after Tet, about 92% of the company’s workers returned to work, whilst the remaining 8% were absent because of leave of absence.

To motivate and encourage workers' spirit on the first working day of the new lunar year, the company gave lucky money to all officers, employees, and workers.

According to Mrs. Truong Thi Ha, an employee of the Garment Factory 2 of the March 29 Textile and Garment JSC, after the Tet holiday, all workers returned to work in a cheerful and exciting atmosphere.

Meanwhile, in order to facilitate workers to have more time with their families, many businesses started resuming normal operations on February 16. They included are the Foster Danang Electronics Co., Ltd. in the Hoa Cam Industrial Park, the Mabuchi Motor Company Limited in the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, and the Hoa Tho Textile and Garment Joint Stock Corporation.

Mr. Bui Minh Vu, Chairman of the Trade Union organisation of the Foster Electronics Da Nang Co., Ltd., said that on the first working day, nearly 100% of workers went back to work, except for some cases that were on leave of absence. Stable labour relations

As noted, right after Tet, many businesses involving the tourism and hotel sectors have welcomed many domestic and international delegations to Da Nang, thereby, ensuring jobs for workers before, during and after Tet.

According to a report from the municipal Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, as of February 15, 97% of workers in businesses had returned to work.

Many large enterprises such as the March 29 Textile and Garment JSC, the Da Nang Rubber JSC, the Mabuchi Motor Company Limited, the Murata Manufacturing Vietnam Company Limited, and the Hoa Tho Textile and Garment Joint Stock Corporation have witnessed 100% of their employee returning to work. This is a favorable condition for businesses to promote production and business and meet partners' orders.

Director of the municipal Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Dang Hoang remarked most businesses in the city have employee retention policies such as ensuring good salaries, bonuses, welfare policies and healthcare services, and improving the value of shift meals.

At the same time, the Department coordinated with the city’s Confederation of Labour to review and present Tet gifts to 8,000 workers in difficult circumstances.

Additionally, the municipal Confederation of Labour organised many activities to care for workers' material and spiritual lives, thereby helping to retain workers, limiting job abandonment situation after Tet.

On the other hand, to ensure the rights of workers, the department directed businesses to comply with legal regulations on labour safety and hygiene, especially at construction sites. Thanks to that, before, during and after Lunar New Year 2024, no serious occupational accidents occurred in the city. Harmonious and stable labour relations were built.
