Nearly 300 people join 'Back to Roots' programme

As many as 300 officials and members of the Da Nang War Veterans’ Association, the municipal Women's Union, and the Youth Union, took part in the programme ‘Back to Roots’ on Thursday to celebrate the 49th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Da Nang (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2024) and Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2024).

Accordingly, the participants laid wreaths and offered incense to commemorate heroes and martyrs at the city’s Peace Monument and the Monument of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Thu in Quang Nam Province’s Tam Ky City. They also visited and learned about the history of Nuoc Oa Relic in Quang Nam Province’s Bac Tra My District, and met with officials and people of Tra Tan Commune.

On the occasion, the programme’s organisers presented 60 gifts, worth VND500,000 each, to social policy families, women and children in difficult circumstances in Bac Tra My District, Quang Nam Province.
