Accordingly, 7 pupils received gifts totalling VND13.5 million from the programme’s organisers. These meaningful gifts contributed to sharing, motivating and encouraging the recipients to make more efforts to achieve remarkable academic results, and become good citizens.

Le Viet Bao Han has a very special situation. He is a fatherless and his mother has a serious illness. However, thanks to his strong will and support from the Border Guard force at Da Nang Port Border Gate, he has overcome difficulties to study well. He is now a student of the Da Nang University of Science and Technology.

Receiving a gift at the programme, Han emotionally said "For many years, I have lacked the warmth of my father. My mother also worked hard to raise me, but luckily I received special help from Border Guard soldiers at the Da Da Nang Port Border Gate. I promise to try my best to continue studying well".

In his remarks at the programme, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Van Duc Truong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Politician of the Border Guard at Da Nang Port Border Gate emphasised that the programme demonstrated profound humanity, and was the sentiment and practical work of border guards officers and soldiers towards people living in the city’s maritime border area.

At the same time, it contributed to consolidating and strengthening the relationship of solidarity and blood bond between the border guards and local people. In the coming time, the unit will continue to accompany and join hands with party committees, local authorities, and benefactors to support pupils in need.
