On Wednesday, the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee in Da Nang, the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs, and the city's Union of Friendship Organisations, signed coordination regulations on people-to-people and overseas Vietnamese diplomacy in the 2024-2029 period.

Accordingly, the agencies will coordinate to implement documents, issued by the Central and municipal governments, on people-to-people diplomacy and the work of Vietnamese people abroad; deploy activities of peace, solidarity, friendship, people-to-people exchange and development cooperation between the people of Da Nang and those of other countries; and mobilise people from all walks of life to carry out people-to-people diplomacy work.

In addition, the three agencies will coordinate to carry out the work of Vietnamese people abroad; take advantage of international resources and the Vietnamese communities abroad; build and improve the operational capacity of the network of officials working on people-to-people diplomacy and the work of Vietnamese people abroad.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Duong Dinh Lieu highlighted the importance of the signing of the coordination regulations between the three sides in contributing to building a comprehensive and modern diplomacy with three pillars of Party diplomacy, State diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy.
