Hands-on training courses for satellite hospitals open in Da Nang
The Da Nang Hospital has just opened training courses for medical workers from satellite hospitals citywide.
Accordingly, satellite hospitals, which are district-level medical centres, have sent their staff to participate in the hands-on training courses lasting for 6 months.
In 2024, the Da Nang Hospital will train and transfer technology to satellite hospitals through hands-on training courses.
Also, it will conduct technical transfer at 7 satellite hospitals, with a number of main training and technical transfer contents such as basic and advanced bone fusion surgery; surgery to remove splints and bone fusion devices; periodontal surgery; basic and advanced emergency resuscitation; laryngoscopic microsurgery; endoscopic hemostasis of high gastrointestinal bleeding; basic digestive endoscopy; and gastrointestinal endoscopic surgery.
Such training courses are part of the second phase of the Satellite Hospital Project approved by the City People's Committee. The project targets to reduce the current patient overload at the hospital, enhance the quality of healthcare services at these medical centres, cut treatment costs and create trust and peace of mind in treatment for patients by 2025.
