The Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting issued a warning for hot to extremely hot temperatures ranging from 36 to 38 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

At noon or in the afternoon, there will be dangerous weather phenomena such as thunderstorms, lightning, strong winds, downpours and hail, especially in mountainous areas.

On June 13 and 14, a scorching heatwave continues griping Da Nang with the highest temperature of 35-38 degrees Celsius, and above 38 degree Celsius in some parts of the city. The large-scale heat wave is likely to last for about 4 days until June 16.

Due to the effects of heat combined with low humidity in the air, there are potential risks of explosions and fires in residential areas and forests. In addition, the prolonged heatwave will result in rising cases of dehydration, exhaustion and heatstroke.
