Highland children enjoy fireworks for the first time

One hundred highland children enjoyed brilliant fireworks displays by the host team Da Nang-Viet Nam and Team France on Saturday evening for the first time.

The activity was part of a special tour called ‘Highland children go downtown’ organised by Mr. Nguyen Binh Nam, Head of the Loving Friends Club, with financial support from sponsors.

The group of highland children gathered on Tran Hung Dao Street, near the Han River bank,  to choose a nice place to watch the fireworks.

The children continuously applauded and expressed their surprise, joy and excitement with each fireworks display.

Among the 100 highland children, 50 are orphans under the "Going to School in the Mountains" project and 50 are excellent pupils from schools in four districts of Nam Tra My, Tay Giang, Dong Giang (Quang Nam) and Tra Bong (Quang Ngai). Most of them are in difficult circumstances.
Mr. Nguyen Binh Nam hoped that this will be a beautiful memory for the childhood of highland children, thereby helping them have more experiences and motivation to strive in studying and changing their lives.
