Previously, Mr. M.H.B (58 years old, Pakistani referee) was present in Da Nang to run a tournament. After completing the task and preparing to return home, he suddenly suffered from left-side chest pain radiating to his left shoulder, difficulty breathing, and sweating. Thanks to the quick support from Vietnamese volunteers at the tournament, Pakistani referee was immediately taken to the Da Nang Family General Hospital.

The foreign patient was diagnosed with acute myocardial infarction on the basis of pre-existing hypertension and dyslipidemia. The hospital, the municipal Department of Health and the Pakistani Embassy held an urgent consultation to determine the most appropriate treatment for the patient.

Immediately after that, Mr. B. had a coronary artery scan - the artery that nourishes the heart using the digital subtraction angiography technique (coronary DSA technique), and at the same time had a stent placed in the coronary artery in the heart.

The intervention process went smoothly. The patient continued to be closely monitored, and treated medically with medication combined with nutritional support and cardiac rehabilitation exercises.

After a week of intensive treatment, the Pakistani patient’s health has recovered well. He is now healthy enough to board the plane to return home.
