The annual Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) draws a lot of attention from local people and tourists. Every year, DIFF’s organisers and consulting units invite pyrotechnic teams from all over the world to participate in. There are teams competing in the festival for the first time, but also teams returning to the festival for many times because of their special love for the city.

Warm welcome for participating teams

2023 was the first year that Team Arteventia from France competed in DIFF and won the championship. This year, the team continued to return to the city for taking part in the festival for the second time.

Mr. Edouard Gregoire, leader of Team Arteventia, said that competing in DIFF was a great opportunity for team members. Last year, the team members went sightseeing and had unforgettable memories at the Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area and Quang Nam Province’s Hoi An Ancient Town, as well as experienced some street activities.

“We are very happy to return to DIFF 2024 and have been working hard to bring the audience the best fireworks shows. We are deeply impressed by the friendliness of the local people who are very enthusiastic to help us. After the opening night of DIFF 2024, we wanted to visit many other places in Da Nang, but we had little time. Therefore, we went to Hoi An City and experienced the wonderful scenery in the beautiful coastal city. DIFF is a very big festival and every year it brings the audience different experiences, and more importantly, we love Da Nang and Viet Nam so much that we will come back here for many more years" Mr. Edouard Gregoire shared.

Mrs. Nancy Rozzi, leader of the US fireworks team, expressed "All team members received a warm welcome from DIFF’s organising board when we came to Da Nang. We have heard about Viet Nam, DIFF and the beautiful coastal city, and the whole team is happy to be here. Viet Nam is a beautiful country and we hope that after the performance, the team will have a few days here and have time to visit the city's tourist attractions".

 Also coming to Da Nang for the first time, Mr. Ingo Schubert, leader of the fireworks team from Germany remarked that when they arrived in Vietnam, the whole team was welcomed very warmly. The members felt the friendliness of Vietnamese people, and the careful and professional preparation of the organisers.

“Our first impression is crossing streets in Viet Nam. We are instructed to cross the street by looking straight and walking confidently. I really like the spirit of this land. Everything is so peaceful, the local people are friendly, and local food shops are amazing. We really like local food. I just wish I had more time to experience local cuisine and go to more places" Mr. Ingo Schubert noted.

Professionalism in organisational work

Like previous years, this year's DIFF was highly appreciated by the participating teams in terms of organisational and consulting activities.

According to representatives of the participating teams, all members are welcomed and well cared for, and the festival’s organisers always accompany and support them when needed.

Leader of the Polish fireworks team, Mr. Jaroslaw Daniel Suzdalewicz, said that all team members were very happy to compete in DIFFs, and experience the awesome atmosphere during the festival. They will certainly register for next fireworks seasons.

“Every time we come here, we try to visit as many places as possible. This year, we plan to visit a few new attractions, including the Linh Ung Pagoda and the Son Tra Peninsula", the Polish team leader said.

Competing in DIFFs in 2017, 2018 and 2023, leader of the Italian fireworks team, Mr. Damiano Baraldo, acknowledged that the organisers and consultants always know what to do when the fireworks teams need it, making us feel like they are family members and relatives. They have greatly contributed to the success of DIFFs”.

According to Mrs. Nadia Shakira Wong, Director of the consulting company Global 2000, after 12 DIFF seasons, each season has its own difficulties and hardships, but the organisers have tried their best and been most meticulous in preparation and reception to bring the most brilliant and beautiful fireworks performances to the audience. Thanks to that good support, the participating teams all want to come back to the festival.

“In my opinion, Da Nang people are very ambitious and they will become very successful. I love the central coastal city very much. Da Nang and DIFF seem to be a part of me. It can be said that DIFF is one of the playgrounds that attracts the participation of many fireworks teams around the world, they all want to once try their hand at the playground" Mrs. Nadia affirmed.
