Sanitation worker at Da Nang airport hands forgotten VND 1.4 billion back to Japanese passenger
The Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT) has rewarded Ms. Tran Thi Huong, a sanitation employee of Hoan My Company Limited for having returned nearly VND 1.4 billion to a passenger who unintentional left it at Terminal T2 - the Da Nang International Airport.

As reported that, around 6:00 a.m. on June 26, while do the cleanups at departure gates 1, 2, 3 of the airport’s international passenger terminal, Ms. Huong discovered a backpack left here.
Ms. Huong promptly reported the case to the T2 Terminal Operations Department and handed over the backpack to the International Security Screening Team in accordance with the airport’s regulations. The Team, in coordination with the Immigration Baggage Procedures Team of the Customs, jointly checked the backpack. They saw many foreign currencies including USD and Japanese Yen banknotes, and other personal assets.
All assets inside the backpack are estimated to be worth nearly VND 1.4 billion. The ownerless property was sealed and a handover record was made to the Da Nang International Airport Customs Branch for handling according to proper procedures.
At around 9:00 p.m. on June 27, the Customs Branch handed over all assets to its owner, a passenger Japanese, in the presence of Ms. Huong and representatives of the relevant units.
Ater receiving the property back, the passenger was happy and had a good impression about Da Nang residents.
The Da Nang International Terminal highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and professionalism of Ms. Huong, security and customs forces, and other related units for promptly jointly clarifying and returning the missing assets to the passenger.
