The camp attracted 160 pupils from 8 provinces and cities in the central region, namely Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh and Phu Yen, and a southern province of Dong Thap.

The participating pupils were from grades 8 to 12 and living in difficult circumstances. They were sponsored with scholarships by the Pacific Links Foundation.

With the expectation of helping the pupils develop comprehensively and make breakthroughs in the digital age, the summer camp focused on educating them about healthcare, cyber security and online fraud prevention, STEM education, and financial knowledge.

During the event, the participants had a chance to meet, interact and learn from more than 40 reporters from Viet Nam and other countries around the world. In addition, they experienced teambuilding activities, competed in talent contests, and took part in the English-speaking contest.

All the activities aimed to help them improve their knowledge and skills in self-care, and equip them with internet safety skills to avoid potential risks, as well as arouse their passion for science, technology, engineering and mathematics. At the same time, they practiced effective financial management thinking, and prepared for an independent and autonomous future.

According to President of the municipal Association of Charities and Children's Rights Protection Le Thi Tam, the summer camp was a good opportunity for pupils to have fun, improve their self-study spirit, awaken their openness, and act for the future.
