The Bach Dang Walking Street in Da Nang’s Hai Chau District attracts a large number of people and tourists to visit and experience many attractive activities and services. Local authorities strengthen the inspection of security and order, and food hygiene and safety in order to ensure the street is safe and civilised.

The Bach Dang Walking Street is exactly the 1.2km-long section from the end of the Dragon Bridge to the foot of the Tran Thi Ly Bridge. It features 27 kiosks and mobile sales vehicles; along with the two art stages on Binh Minh 6 Street and a semicircular - shaped wooden bridge.

Since its operation, the street has become a vibrant shopping, dining, and nightlife entertainment destination for both tourists and residents. It operates from 3:00 pm and midnight every day.

From 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm every day, the Urban Rule Inspection Team of Binh Hien Ward focuses on stop handling the harassment of tourists, illegal street vendors, the disorderly parking of vehicles, and the illegal encroachment of trading activities onto the street’s pavements in order to ensure the urban beauty.

Mr. Le Van Cuong, Vice Chairman of Binh Hien Ward People's Committee, said that the ward authorities have arranged parking lots, and asked sellers to display the prices of their products and services in accordance with the city’s regulations.

In the coming time, the Ward People's Committee will coordinate with units to arrange additional forces to ensure urban order and social safety on Bach Dang walking street, he added.

Besides, the Hai Chau District-level Health Office pays inspection visits to food service establishments on the street to check food hygiene and safety. Up to now, 100% of them have been inspected, and at the same time, granted with certificates of food safety eligibility according to regulations.

Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Phuong, Head of Hai Chau District Health Office, said that in addition to inspection and guidance, the unit has asked facility owners to register for star standards and at the same time, issue QR codes to follow the origin traceability system on the Danang City Food app so that visitors can visit and enjoy with peace of mind.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Than, Deputy Head of the Hai Chau District’s Urban Rules Inspection Team, said that in the coming time, the team will thoroughly handle violation cases of illegal parking, sidewalk disorder, solicitation, and tourist harassment. In addition, forces will be arranged to coordinate with district police to prevent acts of taking advantage of crowds of people to pickpocket, rob, and fight, causing public disorder.

According to Chairman of Hai Chau District People's Committee Le Tu Gia Thanh, recently, the district has installed more than 20 surveillance cameras on Bach Dang Walking Street to detect and promptly prevent illegal acts such as theft and robbery. In addition, four full-time sanitation workers have been assigned for cleanup operations, creating clean, airy spaces and enhancing the city's tourism image.
