In particular, My An Ward has many attractive tourism products for people and tourists such as the An Thuong Tourist Street quarter, and nighttime activities on My Khe Beach.

To ensure security and order, Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Thanh Thien, Head of the My An Ward Police, said that the ward's patrol force 8394 has increased patrols to promptly detect, prevent and strictly handle violations of the law on tourist streets in the area.

In the first half of 2024, local police detected and handled two drug cases, 3 theft cases, 35 noise pollution cases, and 7 cases of picking up and returning lost property to owners.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Thanh Thien, My An Ward is very attractive to many foreigners who come to stay and travel. Therefore, local police force proactively equip foreign language skills and international legal knowledge to improve the management of foreigners in the ward. Foreign violators are mainly related to immigration, overstay, wanted subjects from other countries, and drug crimes.

However, recent years have witnessed a significant decline in the number of foreigners violating Vietnamese law. This positive result has been mainly attributed to great efforts made by local police in regularly going to tourist points frequented by many foreign tourists to widely publicise Vietnamese law. In addition, the ward police have deployed the model of "Public parking points" to ensure security and order in the An Thuong Tourist Street quarter and at nighttime entertainment spots on the My An Beach.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Vinh, Head of Ngu Hanh Son District Police Division, in order to prevent bad guys from stealing property of people and tourists during the tourist season, affecting the image of the city, police in the district directed professional teams to coordinate with the Ward Police to increase patrols and ambush-style attacks to arrest, and strictly handle violators.

With the efforts of the entire police force in the district in the fight against crime, in the past time, all types of crimes have been pushed back, contributing to keeping people's lives peaceful.

During the 6-month period, police in the Ngu Hanh Son District discovered 77 cases; investigated and clarified 50 criminal cases; and arrested 68 offenders. In addition, local police discovered, arrested, and prosecuted 22 cases involving 35 defendants for illegal drug trading, storage, and organisation.

Traffic safety and order were ensured, and the fire prevention and fighting work was strengthened. The number of traffic accidents decreased by 16 cases compared to the same period in 2023.

The campaign to resolve disorder in the An Thuong Tourist Street quarter, and on beaches, contributed to creating a friendly and safe tourism environment for both domestic and foreign tourists.

Chairman of Ngu Hanh Son District People's Committee Nguyen Hoa said that in the coming time, the district-level authorities will continue to direct police force to strengthen patrols, as well as promptly detect and prevent property thefts and disturbances of security and order, in order to ensure political security and social order and safety in the district.

Furthermore, importance will be attached to maintaining the operation of patrol team 8394; stepping up the suppression of all types of crimes; and inspecting and handling disguised prostitution activities, gambling, and noise-making businesses.
